What is Moback?


moBack mBaas is a mobile backend-as-a-service platform that provides developers a safe and secure platform to build mobile apps with the ability to create and manipulate data, users/groups, manage files, enable access control, and send push notifications to users. It also provides detailed analytical graphs with information related to accounts, APIs and user behavior.


What are moback mBaaS’s core features?


Data Manager - Use mBaaS’s powerful REST APIs and native iOS and Android SDKs to create, modify and store tables and data with minimal coding.

Users/Groups - Create and manage user logins, passwords and app user groups easily with multi-device access. Includes ‘Send Invite’ feature for users to share your app.

Access Control - Seamless data integrity is the hallmark of this service; create roles, manage permissions and user access.

File Manager - A simple file manager allows you to manage all types of data without having to worry about servers and storage limits. Supports file storage in S3 Box.net and Dropbox.

Analytics – The analytics dashboard provides an overview of account and app activity including stats related to downloads, usage patterns, APIs and data storage.

Push Notifications - mBaaS’s push notification API enables you to interact with your app users via push messages or email notifications to various groups of users.

How many applications can I create on moBack mBaaS?


Unlimited Apps, there is no upper limit to the number of apps that can be created on moBack mBaaS.


Can I create web applications on moBack mBaaS?


Yes


What frameworks does moBack mBaaS support?


moBack mBaaS provides SDKs for iOS and Android applications. moBack mBaaS also provides REST API endpoints to support applications implemented in leading app development languages.


Can I send push notifications with a third party app automation software?


Push notifications are only supported for the user end devices as long as we have P12 for IOS & Android devices.


What are the content restrictions?


Each file uploaded using the Files feature should be within 50 MB.


How many active requests can my app serve at one time?


Your app can serve unlimited active requests at any point of time.


How can I manage users of my application?


Application users can be created using moBack mBaaS SDKs. The application developer will be able to use the user system table to view these users.


What if my notifications not working?


Android - To have Push Notifications on Android, you need to enable notifications while there's a logged in user, as well as have enabled the notifications from the MoBack dashboard. Go to the dashboard under Subscribed Services > Notifications, select Android from the drop down, and select the enable button next to it. Now you will be able to send push notifications to users who have subscribed to notifications from your applications.

iOS - To have Push notifications on iOS, you need to upload a developer P12 certificate (without a passphrase). You need to enable notifications when there is a logged in user, as well as have enabled the notifications from the MoBack dashboard. Go to the dashboard under Subscribed Services -> Notifications, select iOS from the drop down, and press the enable button next to it. Now, you will be able to send push notifications to users who have subscribed to notifications from your applications


How do I upload my P12?


The P12 needs to be a Development P12. And it should not have any passcode. Go to subscribe services under your application name in left nav panel. Go to push notifications and upload your P12.


Note iOS developers:


Keep the profile as development profile with the application ID having push notifications enabled with valid certifications. The bundle identifier needs to be explicit.
